During a class I took sophomore year, I was surprised when the instructor said that we had to use seven sources for a paper, but they could only be books. We weren't allowed to use newspaper or magazine articles because "journalists can be unreliable sometimes."
That was an odd restriction to put on an assignment in a pre-journalism class of aspiring journalists.
