Considering how many complaints I've made about irksome words, I should also acknowledge when a word is linguistically satisfying.
For some reason, I like it when people say that others have "frittered away their time." Unproductive time notwithstanding, it's a pleasure to hear people say that others are wasting time--when they say it politely.
