October 2008: Watchcat Sammy looks up after having seen someone jingle some keys moments earlier.  Watchcat Rosie keeps an eye on Watchcat Sammy, in case he gets too distracted.

Unless it's part of an agility training course, a watchcat must resist the allure of a Cat Dancer toy while on duty:

October 2008: Watchcat Nemo, not giving into the temptation to play with the Cat Dancer.

One of the lesser-known duties of watchcats is sniffing food being cooked and alerting those in the residence when the dish appears done:

2008: Watchcat Sammy, keeping an eye and a nose on the cooking.

You never know when the Thanksgiving turkey toy might be a spy.  A good watchcat will suss this out:

2013: Watchcat Sylvia inspects a turkey.  She determined it was a friend instead of a foe.
